Blade Running

Hi Off-worlders!

It has been a fun and eye opening project from the start but now the live Blade Runner event is
nearly upon us I kind of thought it would be nice to document the hard hard work somehow in the form of a release of some selected bits. This is a collaboration I've been working on with my GoYoko! band mate Darren Pain. Tracks which we feel keep true to the original tone and style of the film which was so masterfully stylised by the great Mr Vangelis himself.  Obviously it’s clearly a soundtrack which can’t be bettered and we’d be foolish to attempt any type of recreation, but instead we prefer to see it as how we might see this universe from the inside, adding a touch of our own sound as if we were musically document our observations from within and exploring the rich palate of sounds. Basically it's a bit like a musical deleted scenes and a good enough reason to fire up my semi-senile old Roland Jupiter 6.

The planned album in question is  currently being whittled down from our massive 3 hour live set of original material and currently has the tentative title of “Electric Pets”.  I’ll keep you updated on the progress of this so keep your eyes peeled for more details of when and where you can get hold of it.
