Since studying sound editing and recording techniques at London’s City Of Westminster College I have gained a wide variety of experience within sound design and post production. Firstly I gained an electronic engineering diploma and learnt the art of acoustics and microphone techniques, then I built my first recording studio with some good friends and some nails. After this I moved through various experimental bands amassing a large collection of world instruments and analogue synthesizers. Now I run my steam powered operations from my own digital recording studio in the UK which houses me and a large amount of high end digital and analogue equipment.
Sound Design
The desire to create new sounds and interesting textures has always been a strong passion of mine and is evident throughout my work. Since I moved into the field of film and media it has become a welcome desire to push these skills to bring a production to life whether it’s subtle foley overdubs, spot effects, ambience or high impact stings and trailer hits. I have accumulated a vast library of sound effect and I create my own high quality samples from a combination of analogue synthesis and field recordings.
Audio Post Production
Prior to studying scoring and media post production I gained a lot of early experience within sound production from producing, mixing and mastering albums for bands, working with analogue systems and editing dialogue on tape.
